As we enter the month of December we realise we are coming to the close of another year – 2019. It has been a year of learning and growing. We thank God for all His benevolence and we thank each other for the part we have played in the growth and development of individuals and the institution.
In the month June we bid farewell to five very special people: Fr Joseph Thettayil (T.T.), Fr Kaisii Moses, Fr Jossy Mathew, Sr Mercy and Sr Bibiana.
Fr Joseph Thettayil, affectionately called Fr T T, had been the moving force behind the construction of the magnificent school building we have today. His contribution is immense. Had it not been for his vision and commitment it would not have been materialised. (We gratefully remember Fr Jose Chacko too, as he was the architect who so well planned and began the execution of this mighty structure.) Fr Moses was in command of the school while others were busy with the constructions. Fr Jossy mesmerised Wokha with his musical talents. Sr Mercy, who served for the last six years with total dedication, will always be remembered by all with much love and gratitude. In the name of the entire Don Bosco community we place on record their immense contribution to the cause of education of the people of Wokha District. May God’s blessings continue to accompany them.
Soon five (5) of our teachers will leave the school. Sir Deepjyoti Das who served us for the last eight (8) years will be deeply missed. Sir Martin who taught mainly the Higher Secondary section for two years was a much loved teacher. So also Sir Reynold, Miss Veronica and Miss Zubeni. To them all we say mark us grateful for your love and dedication. We wish them all God’s choicest blessings in their future endeavours.
I would like to thank all the parents, guardians, members of the Alumni, and all well-wishers for their continuous support and co-operation.
I take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and a New Year filled with the blessings of Baby Jesus.
Fr Manuel Paikada SDB
